HOW EFFECTIVE IS YOUR SIXTH FORM?
PREPARING FOR THE NEW OFSTED FRAMEWORK
From September 2009 school Sixth Forms will be inspected using a more rigorous framework. This course, led by an experienced, practising inspector, aims to help you understand this new framework and be able to effectively assess your Sixth Form’s strengths and weaknesses. As a result you will be both well prepared for inspection and well equipped to provide the continuous improvement required of all managers.
Course Objectives
At the end of the event participants will be able to:
- Understand the new Ofsted Inspection Framework and how it differs from the old
- Effectively self evaluate
- Assess your Sixth Form’s strengths and weaknesses
- Plan to improve the effectiveness of your Sixth Form
- Prepare your Sixth Form for its next inspection
Delegates will receive a folder with a summary of each session, materials for use in your school and copies of the presentation used on the day.
